PRESENTATION OF THE MINISTRY FOR THE PROMOTION OF WOMEN AND THE FAMILY

The Ministry for the Promotion of Women and the Family was established by Decree No. 2004/320 of 8 December 2004 on the Organization of the Government. Pursuant to Decree No. 2011/408 of 9 December 2011, which defines its responsibilities, this ministerial department is responsible for formulating and implementing government policies and measures aimed at promoting and protecting the rights of women, safeguarding the family, and ensuring the protection and well-being of children.

Furthermore, in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 2003/011/PM of 9 January 2003 establishing the State Budget Classification, the Ministry is classified under the Social Affairs sector. The Ministry for the Promotion of Women and the Family (MINPROFF) is responsible for developing and implementing government measures relating to the promotion and protection of women's rights and the protection of the family.
